Delphian's Flexirack mounting systems are custom
tailored to the user's exact needs from standard "off-the-shelf" Delphian
hardware. Each system is built for the exact number of channels required. It is not
necessary to buy more channel slots than actually needed. It is not necessary to purchase
a larger power supply than actually needed. The user can specify expansion slots with
blank panels. Any number of different controllers for different gases can be mixed in the
same Flexirack in any position.
IMPORTANT NOTE: A DC controller cannot be placed in an analog (older)
Flexirack - please check with the factory if in doubt.

RACK/PANEL MOUNT
FLEXIRACK
can be configured for any number of
channels from 1 to 16.
The barrier strip terminals on the panel/rack mount Flexirack are mounted on the rear of
the motherboard for access from the back of the panel. A clear plastic safety shield
protects the terminals. A Flexibezel is installed on the front of the panel - cut to size
for the system. |

ENCLOSURE/WALL
MOUNT FLEXIRACK
can be configured for any number of
channels from 1 to 16.
The barrier strip terminals on the enclosure/wall mount Flexirack face the front for easy
direct access with no intermediate user wiring necessary.
The flexiracks can be purchased from Delphian premounted in a specified enclosure or can
be mounted by the user in their own enclosures - or directly on the wall without an
enclosure.. |
Description
The rugged Flexirack is constructed from heavy gauge zinc chromate plated steel.
It has four basic parts for any wall, enclosure, or panel mount configuration - from 1 to
16 channels. The left and right side plates are identical as are the top and bottom
plates. These two parts are used for both the panel/rack and the enclosure/wall mount
configurations. there are two motherboards - one for each system. The motherboards and the
top and bottom plates are manufactured in 16 unit sections then cut to length as ordered.
This allows for off-the-shelf delivery of the Flexirack regardless of the number of
channels per system, providing the user with a custom system - all from standard parts.
Each Flexirack includes alignment guides, mechanical support and connectors for each
controller module. It also provides electrical interconnects via the motherboard, from
each controller to corresponding barrier strip terminals. The barrier strip terminals
allow easy hook-up to controller relay alarm contacts, transmitter input, recorder output
and external reset circuits.
Mounting Options
Flexirack systems can be purchased from Delphian premounted in a specified
enclosure or can be mounted by the user in their own enclosures or panels. Users can even
purchase the hardware parts from Delphian, then cut and assemble their own Flexiracks. The
location of all live hazardous electrical circuits and terminals has been designed to meet
FMRC and
NEC safety requirements.
The Flexirack can be installed in a great variety of standard NEMA 1 through NEMA 12
enclosures. Systems installed in enclosures with external alarm reset switches,
"safe" air purge, auxillary relays, etc. are available. Power converters can
also be installed and factory wired in enclosures. (More about

Power Supplies
A Flexirack system can operate directly from any 24 Vdc power supply. A Flexirack system
can also be operated from a 115 or 230 Vac, 50 to 400 Hz power supply by using a simple
unregulated power converted (transformer, capacitor, and rectifier). Where line voltage
varies, a regulated power converter is recommended. (More about
